Amidst the tranquil surroundings, it is sobering to reflect that nearly 9,000 bodies have been unearthed from this area. Gain a deeper understanding of Cambodia’s tragic history with a guided tour of the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, a former school transformed into a Khmer Rouge torture center, where an estimated 20,000 detainees endured unimaginable suffering.
