Overview

Trang An is a famous destination in Ninh Binh, known for its stunning limestone mountains, caves, and rivers. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it was also a filming location for Kong: Skull Island. Visitors can enjoy a peaceful boat ride through scenic caves or hike up the mountains for breathtaking panoramic views.

Mua Caves, or Hang Mua, offer spectacular views from the top of Mua Mountain. Legend says Emperor Tran Thai Tong once watched dance performances here, giving it the name “Dancing Cave.” Climbing around 500 steps to the summit rewards you with sweeping views of rice fields and surrounding peaks. The cave features ancient carvings and shrines, adding to its charm.

Hoa Lu Ancient Capital was Vietnam’s capital during the Dinh and early Le dynasties (10th–11th centuries). Today, it preserves many temples and historical relics, including those honoring kings Dinh Tien Hoang and Le Dai Hanh. A visit offers a deep dive into the country’s rich cultural and feudal history.
